Ditch the Cranberry Sauce This Thanksgiving—Try Applesauce with Healthy HeartBeets Instead!

This idea came to me while I was slicing up apples for a quick snack. I love making applesauce at home because it’s simple, wholesome, and free of preservatives. Plus, adding Healthy HeartBeets gives it a vibrant twist perfect for the holiday table.


Here’s how you can make it yourself:


Ingredients:

3 apples

1 lemon

Water

Healthy HeartBeets



Instructions:

Peel the apples with a peeler and dice them into small pieces.

Add the apple pieces to a pot and pour in enough hot water to just cover them.

Simmer on low heat for 2–3 hours, letting the apples soften and flavors blend.

Toward the end, stir in a touch of honey (or your favorite sweetener like agave) and a splash of lemon juice. 

Use a spoon to mash the apples to your preferred texture—chunky or smooth, it’s up to you!
